Just like Facebook, Minggl stores a ton of info about you and your socializing…that’s a fact. It’s also a fact that reputation travels almost instantly on the net. Our purpose in collecting this data is to facilitate our robust features and give you access to sophisticated:
- Privacy controls
- Filtering of news
- Other automation’s for you and your friends
We have no intention of abusing your trust or pissing you off. We don’t really like advertising, but in the future, if we have to keep the lights on, we might run some. To make the most money possible, these hypothetical ads are likely to be focused around what we know of your interests. But if we do this, we’ll design it so the ad-services can’t see your personal info. We won’t ever sell your data or expose it to 3rd parties without your EXPLICIT consent. How We Get This Info
- You will be asked to provide personal info (including names and pw’s) when you register for the Minggl service.
- During your use of Minggl, this information will be combined with information obtained from other sources (including your social sites).
- In association with your use of Minggl, we will automatically detect and store personal attributes associated with you and/or your friends.
- This personal data is collected and stored strictly for your direct use of Minggl services and these attributes won’t be visible to friends (other members of your social networks) unless you explicitly allow it.
- This data allows us to personalize your experience with Minggl and we use many different technologies to get it.
- We may sell or disclose aggregate data or statistics at our option, but nothing personally identifiable will be shared with 3rd parties without your direct and overt consent.
- Our databases, your account and access to our servers is secured using advanced encryption techniques including “salted-hash” and others.
Options You Have
- If Minggl is not meeting your needs, or you feel we’ve not lived up to your privacy/security expectations, you are free to delete your account at any time.
- You can disable email communications from us at any time by following the steps outlined below.

- You can remove all social profiles associated with your Minggl account, and delete your account from the “control panel”.
How We Use Your Information
- The information we collect is used to provide the various Minggl services, along with personalized features and content and (potentially, but hopefully not) advertising.
- Unless you turn off email communication, we may contact you to let you know about products or services offered by Minggl and by our affiliates or to ask you about your likes and dislikes with regard to Minggl or its associated services. We hate spam too so you can expect only really interesting things from us.
- We do not disclose your personal information to third parties. We will from time to time work with partners on the direct provision of services to you: we may share general information about our users with these firms.
