FAQ
If we’ve missed a question below…
Try visiting support or you can email support.
Q. How do I import my remaining friends?
A. Minggl should auto-synchronize your friends with the host site. If you’re not seeing all of them, please report a bug to support. Be sure to tell us how many you see, how many you SHOULD see, and what site the problem is at.
Q. How do I get a Minggl account?
A. Minggl is now in public beta and you can install and sign-up from here.
Q. How do I setup Minggl?
A. If you are using IE 7 or 8, you must make sure you’ve authorized Minggl to run in the browser. After installing Minggl, when your browser restarts, you should be taken to the registration page. Simply create your user account (specify your login email, username and password) and then attach your various social profiles using the “Add Network Connection” button on minggl.com/panel/settings. “Settings” is under the Minggl drop-down menu on the left of the toolbar. After that, we`ll monitor them for you and let you know what`s happening with friends. If you have questions or find something confusing, please email support to let us know.
Q. How do I download or install Minggl WITHOUT re-registering?
A. If you already have a Minggl account, and want to install the toolbar on another computer or into a different browser on the SAME computer, go directly to our downloads page. DO NOT re-register because your “attached profiles” are already “owned” by your first Minggl account. You may lose some “tag” data if you move social profiles to a new Minggl account. If you`ve lost your password, click the “Forgot your Password” link on the login page.
Q. I don’t see the Minggl Toolbar in my browser. How do I make it visible?
A. Minggl is running when its toolbar is visible at the top of your browser. If you don’t see the Minggl Toolbar, click the Minggl entry in your browser’s Toolbar menu under: View » Toolbars.
Q. How do I attach my MySpace or Facebook profile to my Minggl account?
A. Select the “Settings” option under the ‘Minggl’ drop-down list on the Minggl Toolbar. From that page, click “Add Network Connection” and provide your credentials to the native site.
Q. How do I know if another person is using Minggl?
A. All Minggl users have a Minggl GG watermark next to their name in your Minggl “People” sidebar. Also, if they`ve given you permission, you may see one or more Minggl Notes they’ve hidden on some other website.
Q. How do I create Minggl Notes?
A. In the main browser, navigate to the site where you want to hang the Note. Now go to the “Notes” section of the Minggl sidebar. Click “Add Note” and you will see the Note editor appear on the main browser window. Create your Note and then click “Publish”.
Q. How do you control offensive content?
A. Minggl is community-policed. Every Minggl Note contains a “Flag as Offensive” button in the upper right corner. If multiple users flag a particular mNote as offensive, it will be marked for review. If even more people flag it, it is automatically hidden until it can be reviewed. Although we`ll normally just add a password, Minggl reserves the right to delete Minggl Notes if/when they have been flagged as offensive by the community.
Q. How do I un-install?
A. If using Internet Explorer, look under the Start menu for Minggl–>Uninstall. If using FireFox, look under Tools–>Add-ons–>Uninstall
